A black speck on a clean sheet of paper…
The bright red mouth on an exotic, yet pale bird,
Or a cracked, lone seashell that continuously survives the rolling waves.
All of these can be used to describe the shocking image of Ziren Rhizae crouching at the shore of a beautifully, seemingly, uninhabited island, observing the sands.
There was a call of birds somewhere off to the north of the waters. A breeze shook the tall grass that stood above the sand dunes, and a cluster of palm trees leaned with the weight of the air effortlessly.
There was a nagging feeling that tugged vigorously at the back of Ziren’s mind;
“I shouldn't be here.”
Though the Alchemist was fully in the physical, living world, she felt her mind still in the afterlife. There were instances in which the undead heard voices. Screaming, tormented, voices that tell stories of people that died centuries ago. Something so morbid, so dead, shouldn’t be in the realm of the living.
Of course, Ziren was already undead before plunging head first into the underworld, but there was something different about going into the afterlife. Something final…complete.
The Undead woman rose up from the black sands of the shoreline and made her way to the cluster of palm trees. She took a moment to inhale and smell the intoxicating scent of salt water, flowers, and coconut. With very careful, boney hands she caressed the trunk of a swaying palm.
The idea of her soul being unwelcome…was just a thought.
Ziren’s hand moved slowly down to the root of the plant protruding delicately from the sands, feeling every crack and bump of the wood, and her small frame following suit . A thought that wasn't enough to induce actions...
Her other hand with disturbing, unnatural speed shot out of her thick, black robes and the jagged nail from her forefinger punctured the soft bark of the palm, expertly carving a circle.
The truth to the matter was the Undead Alchemist needed that Headband. …To shake the rust off her shoulders. …To assert her dominance in this beautiful, chaos-bound world.
…and nothing would stop her.
…nothing.
{Spoiler Alert!} Spell Crafting (0): Ziren has quickly began the process of casting a spell circle onto the root of a palm tree, which will serve a greater purpose as the showdown continues.

While seemingly uninhabited by any sort of human life form for miles and miles across the islands, the sounds of nature and a large variety of unknown animals were still heard throughout the island. The shrill call of a bird to another. The quiet noise of a cricket. The silent noise of a large cat stalking it’s prey within the tall brush. The wildlife was all evident within the island. The tall grass that stood above the countless dunes of sand and the mass of vegetation growing around would strongly suggest that this particular place had not been touched by mankind in centuries.
As a soft breeze rolled through the island’s center once more, it seemed that all noise had quite suddenly ceased. The vast majority of the animals had stopped their movements, and their noises within nature. Dead silence set down upon the solitary land.
Without warning, the exotic wildlife began to retreat. The large cats were heard running off through the tall grasses, and the birds flew upwards into the skies. They were all filing out in unison, seemingly running from something. But from what, exactly?
The answer would become clearly evident as a lone figure’s shadow showed within the glaring sunlight, one that could be immediately concluded wasn’t Ziren’s.
Out from the towering brush upon the sand dunes came a male, his head turned away from Ziren’s general direction, as if he was looking for something. When glancing over him from the back, he would look like your average young adult, nothing out of the ordinary with the exception of the glimmer of a sheathed knife within his belt loop. Although he could be using that for protection within the wilds.
But as he made a 180 direction to look towards the female that seemed to be lost within her own thoughts, it was then that his identity could be easily revealed.
His dark black eyes, void of any type of color or ordination, was the first clue. His long black bangs falling over his facial structures was another. But the sure way to ascertain if he was who he was, would be the large scar running down the right side of his cheek.
However possible, Sirius Nightshade, one of the most notorious terrorists of Nu-Guardia, was in the battle for the #1 headband.
A cold and calculating smile crossed his chapped lips. “You know, I’m not exactly sure why Mr. Dawn elected me to such an…auspicious occasion,” the male began, his hands forming into fists and releasing back to an open hand consistently. His voice was chilling, like the perfect antagonist in a movie, “Maybe the deranged man thought he could kill me by setting me among numerous opponents.”
He slowly lifted his right hand, brushing the thick bangs from his face, as a sinister cackle escaped from his parted lips.
“I almost pity you, Ms. Rhizae. Having to deal with me in the first round.“
People would certainly wonder what a terrorist’s possible motivation was to join this tournament and potentially win. It was quite simple. The whole world would have to acknowledge Sirius and his religion as the top dogs, and good or bad, his religion would have the acknowledgement he had been looking for. Also, he loved brutally murdering people. So this was perfectly beneficial for him.
“You know…My mother told me I should never hit girls….”
The shadows that were created by the bright sun boring down on the many examples of wildlife and nature began to take movement on it’s own, as if pulling away from the object that was holding it down. The shadows themselves then took an instantaneous transformation, going between two forms of matter, gaseous to a flexible solid. The satisfactory supply of the shadow form then moved towards Sirius, taking random positions all around his body and awaiting to be used.
A smaller percentage of the chunks moved downwards towards his now open hands, as he closed them around the form. Within a moment, the shadow form had stretched and molded like that of play-dough, becoming a form of duel weaponry within his hands. The classical blunderbuss. The artist design, the hammer, and the double barrel were all the same exemplary design. The only exception was that both were of a black coloration. He did not move his arms up, or make an attempt to aim, instead silently and discreetly powering the bullets that were inside of the chambers, awaiting to be released by the gunpowder.
“But I stopped listening to her after I killed her…” The psychotic smile on his face grew wider, “Plus, I can’t help but want to stomp that face into the sand.”
No major advantages as of yet
Blunderbuss attack. The bullets are explosive, so the more powerful they are, the bigger the explosion. (0)

The Alchemist sensed the change in the air while observing the almost cinematic movement of retreating animals into the shrubbery of the island. Her yellow eyes watched them for just a moment before reeling back into her masterpiece.
She did not turn to face her opponent immediately, expertly working out the contours of her work.
The last pieces of the Circle had been completed as he began to move closer to the Unnatural. When he decided to finally speak, she closed her eyes, meditating.
Sirius’ voice was barely above a whisper in the mind of Ziren; still comprehensible but not her main focus. A slow progressing flow of chakra, invisible to the naked eye, moved from its’ house at the base of her frame and into her forearms, palms, and fingers. It was a brilliant fluttering sensation, one that brought a twitch of a smile to the Alchemists’ calm expression.
Wind quickly wrapped its’ way around the island, tussling the woman’s raven hair and bending the thicket of palm trees once again, but the groan of the tree she rested under was different then the peculiar hum of the others. It seemed to cry out in with its’ own weight, pleading with nature.
“That’s a shame,” She responded, finally after a moments’ silence. The woman watched the slither of shadow and their impressive transformations into his weapon. Her sun-colored eyes dropped down to the ground below him.
“You have a face only a mother could love.”
The sand under Sirius became significantly brighter than the other layers of sand. In an instant, the sediment hardened into crystal-like structures, and then burst upward which caused a mild explosion in a two foot radius around him. A simple use of alchemy, Ziren expertly heated the ground below her opponent, causing a mineral enforced, glass-like crystal to form, and then expanded the structure, causing the sporadic reaction. The speed of the shards resembled that of a speeding bullet, and considering the attack was quite literally under his feet, this would be a hard bit to ignore.
Multiple palm trees cried out in the midst of their altercation, begging...
{Spoiler Alert!} Spell Crafting (1): The spell has been cast and is now taking a drastic effect on the thicket of trees that encompass the two
Chakra Implications (0): Though meditation Ziren can focus small fragments of her chakra into different parts of her body, but at this point in time her arms, have no more strength in them than they would any other day.
Explosive Glass (Quick Draw): Ziren super-heated the ground below her opponent, which was composed of the sand from the beach, volcanic ash, and minerals that formed from the underwater volcanic activity not too far from the show.

It was quite obvious to Sirius that the female before him was not listening to his words as he spoke them, or rather, didn’t even care all that much about the words themselves. As if they were of no essence, coming from him. The gusts of wind that soon followed as she opened her mouth and spoke pressed finely against his head, causing more of his thick bangs to fall down to his face as his hair blew along with the wind. He could vaguely hear the agony filled groans that came from the large thicket of palm trees before them, as if they were momentarily personified and made a chorus of pain filled screams. The smile that was previously on his face contorted into a frown as his black hues began to show an evil and sinister ferocity, as if they were of a lion stalking it’s unknowing prey. How could she treat a GOD in such a way? Ignore him, and then have the nerve to insult him, even the slightest bit. Was she looking to be murdered even less mercifully than he had initially intended? To have him feed her to the hungry predators within the confines of the small and desolate island? Angering somebody such as him was one of the worst possible things one could do. In this state of ferocious rage within himself, he only took mild notice of the intricate designs that resided on the tree bark, pushing it into the back of his mind for later. His frown grew, and he spoke once more. “You insolent FOOL, who do you think I am, just some average commoner?! I am a GOD, you-” It was a quick change. Without warning, his mouth slammed shut as he realized something was wrong. He felt an abnormal heat at the soles of his boots, a searing heat that the sun could not possibly create. He knew within his mind that the heat below him could not possibly bear good news, and it was quite possibly an attack via his opponent. He would move right into action, pushing his feet off of the ground aggressively and into the gusting winds above. In the large leap, he surged upwards a good ten or twelve feet into the skies, narrowly missing the following explosion that occurred at the spot he was only just standing on. Bringing his glance downward, his eyes caught the glimmer of a multitude of glass shards surging upwards. He angled himself mid-air in an expert fashion to efficiently dodge all of the glass shards should they even come up this far in the skies without faltering. Even if they didn’t, he did not want to take such a risk this early in the battle. As the gusting winds quickly blew away the small plumes of smoke created from the explosion, Sirius once more angled himself upright, looking at a diagonal downward angle toward his conclusively explosive opponent. “You prefer to start the fireworks early, it seems, ” He remarked, cocking his head backwards as to push back the bangs that hung down to veil his face, “I like that.” As he began to make his straight fall down onto the sandy ground beneath him, his right arm quickly raised upwards as he aimed one of his two weapons straight toward the woman, wasting no time in depressing his index finger onto the trigger. The sound of the gunpowder doing it’s work echoed throughout the island’s capacity, resulting in the remainder of nature’s stragglers running at full pace. Out from the chamber exited two misty, dark black bullets, moving at the same speed as they would had they been your average bullets coming out of a gun. The only difference was when the two bullets were stopped at any sort of surface, it would cause them to spontaneously combust into an explosion a tad larger than the explosion Ziren had just used to cause him to enact movement. The accompanying mist that trailed behind as the bullets rapidly surged towards her could be used for a proceeding attack as well should Sirius choose to do so. Meanwhile, Sirius continued his downward descension until he safely landed down onto the comforting sand dunes, a few feet away from the four foot wide hole in the ground. He allowed his right blunderbuss to revert back into it’s shadow form state, while he continued to keep the opposite blunderbuss within his hand, charging the bullets more with each passing moment. By now, it was beginning to glow and ooze with a moderate power. Sirius jumped the moment he felt the heat of the ground beneath him, resulting in him narrowly missing the following explosion.
(1) Right Blunderbuss shot and disposed of.
(1) Left Blunderbuss still powering, to the point that it’s now slightly glowing.

Ziren watched closely as Sirius went up into the air, and was very prepared for his attack when he came floating down. The palm trees around the two were still crying out pitifully, though no wind was present to induce their anguish. The timing was perfect, not a second to late, not a second too soon. The onyx colored bullets went speeding towards Ziren, but in their short distance made a curve around her body and the tree, only to come back around towards Sirius with an equal amount of speed and force. The telekinetic reversal was enough to make her thin eyebrows furrow and lips turn to a frown, but not enough to break a sweat or cause turbulence within the female. The substance of the bullets was shadow material, something that Ziren was all too familiar with, which eased the process of continuing their motion. At the same the sand dunes that Siruis was situated upon began to super heat, stirring rapidly due to the access amount of sand, minerals, obsidian, and other sediment that accumulated under his feet. But it didn’t explode. The palm tree that Rhizae was rested under had become significantly darker, and the leaves along her branches began to wilt. Seemingly random palms around the two fighters followed suit, their bark becoming slowly more and more decrepit-looking...
{Spoiler Alert!} Telekinetic Reversal (Quick Draw): Ziren turned the bullets around back at Siruis
Ball of Sands(0): A circle of sand similar to the first ball that erupted under Sirius's feet begins to superheat but is not used.
Chakra Implications (1): Her movements though her forearms have become significantly quicker but this has not been used competitively yet.
Spell Crafting (2): The trees are becoming eerily more ominous ooooooo

The moment that Sirius landed gracefully onto the sand dunes, he was already forced to be on the defensive once again. His cold glance darted back towards the female before him the moment he landed, as he witnessed his misty onyx bullets take a curvature around both her and the palm tree beside her, before surging back towards him with the same speeds and force as they initially shot off. In Sirius’ time in battle, he already knew exactly what this was; telekinesis. In that same moment, the sand beneath the soles of his boots began to grow super heated once again, the variety of minerals and various elements causing for a now potentially dangerous environment underneath him. With the potential for the sand dune to explode underneath him similar to the previous encounter, he knew he had to get out of there. Although the average being would be faltered by this, or at the very least frown, Sirius’ same smile was plastered on his lips. In fact, it seemed to have grown wider. Sirius lifted himself gracefully from his situated spot on the sand once more. Only this time, he would not make the dangerous mistake of going up into the skies. He would instead dart to the right approximately ten feet, ridding himself of the threatening heat. Once he brought himself back into an upright position, his glance immediately fell to the bullets coming towards him. While the woman’s telekinesis was impressive and could bring the bullets back at him, it was nothing in comparison to the male’s vast prowess with the shadows. It took a mild amount of effort, but he did break the telekinetic hold that was upon his bullets. However, instead of surging them back towards her, he instead used his control to shoot them up into the air. No explosion was heard, which would indicate said attack would be for another offensive later in this showdown between the two. He momentarily looked up to the skies as the bullets surged out of sight, before bringing his ferocious glance back down to his opponent. In this moment of silence, it was obvious that the palm trees screams of agony were growing louder and all the more shrill. This was odd, since there was no longer even a breeze present. As he noticed the trees from the corner of his peripheral vision, he noticed that they had become a darker shade of color, one by one they were becoming more ominous. This had to have been one of the opponent’s tricks, and he had a bad feeling about what would soon happen. Either way, he still found a way to smile, a light chuckle even escaping from his lips. “Your cheap tricks will not DEFEAT me, wretch,” He began, his eyes staring up into the skies once more, his chuckle soon turning into a hysterical laughter, “ BECAUSE, the LOCUSTS, they TELL ME that THE END FOR YOU” In that same moment, his left arm lifted upward in a quick fashion, his aim seemingly toward her once more, index finger pressed lightly against the trigger. “They tell me the end for you…Is near, child,” His gaze fell back down to her, his black eyes void of any emotion staring at her, boring into her mind, “ EMBRACE…The beautiful concept of DEATH!” His index finger depressed onto the trigger once more, the same misty and onyx bullets releasing themselves into the air. Although, this time, the round bullets would not even come close to her or anything vital. Instead, they would dig into the sand dunes a few feet in front of her, before her telekinetic prowess could even take place. An asinine being may believe truly that he had just horrendous aim, but that wasn’t the case. After a moment of silence, a moderately large sized shard shot up from the sand dunes just beneath the woman. The bullets had formed together and Sirius used his mental control to force them to form and stretch into this shard. One would again think that the aim was to stab through her, which wasn’t the case. You see, since the two bullets had merged to create this shard, the same explosive properties were present. Meaning, similar to how the ground underneath Sirius had combusted, the shard would as well a slim moment after it protruded out towards her. The radius was slightly larger than the explosion Ziren had brought to him, approximately 2.5 feet. Although the concussive force was a good 10 feet, which would stun her if that managed to hit. Sirius smiled. “Your move, sweetheart.” Sirius darted to the right in almost a quarter circle, ridding himself of the heated ground. He also used his mental prowess over the shadow form to break the telekinetic hold of his bullets.
The right blunderbuss bullets (1) had shot into the air, now being prepped further within the skies
The left blunderbuss bullets (2) Shot into the ground in front of Ziren, before jutting out from the sand dune as a 2 prepped shard, which then proceeded to explode underneath her a moment after it jutted out.

A thick layer of translucent film now covered the palms around the two combatants. Their cries had gone achingly quiet. They seemed to wilt like delicate flowers… The ball of circulating sands grew white hot, churning slowly within the earth… There was a twinge of irritation within Ziren, who had up to this point been quiet and brooding. It only increased as the capsules of shadow bolted up into the blue skies and out of her direct line of sight. Thin black eyebrows made angles on her face and her even thinner lips turned into a deep frown. “Your cheap tricks will not DEFEAT me, wretch,” He bellowed with a ferocity Alchemist found equal to that of a small pup. “BECAUSE, the LOCUSTS, they TELL ME that THIS IS THE END FOR YOU!!!” Sirius raised his weapon. Pale white hands under the alchemist’s robes twitched. “They tell me the end for you…Is near, child. “EMBRACE…The beautiful concept of DEATH!” Oh, that did it. There was a bubble of laughter as Sirius aimed his gun and the bullets drilled into the grey sediment. It continued as white, formulas for vibration, mass, force, speed, and motion in Ziren’s vision began to change, letting her know they were still coming towards her. Her cackles did not cease as her arms came in front of her, then small ball of blue energy formed around her frame and she blew back ward, an explosion of force seeming to move her before the actual attack. The shards exploded, leaving multiple cracks in the translucent barrier and sending her back even farther. The sphere disappeared only when the last bits of debris rained down from his combustive comeback. Ziren was still laughing as she walked backward, slowly, and squeezed her numb hands. “Embrace…the beautiful concept of death…” Her tone was even and voice crystal clear over the roaring of the waves and cold as ice. Her foot tipped two shattered pieces of rock that hadn’t survived Sirius’ powerful explosion in his direction. “I’m starting to feel bad for your mother, tell me the location of her grave site, so I can scold her bones for birthing an idiot. I am dead.” There was a scream from the trees. So painful and short one could have thought there was another murder on the island. In that same moment, all around Shawdus the six of the trees and the ball od sand exploded, obsidian, sand, and splintered wood flying in all directions around the island. The Desolate Aura whipped around the two in physical form as the shards of debris did, instantly draining the life of everything in its wake. With enough power to break a physical barrier, the aura simply moved past, around, and over Ziren, tussling her hair. A small panther cub came out of the wilting shrubbery and into the madness in a bewildered state, crying, liquid foaming from its’ mouth and eyes before abruptly falling to his side. The aura encompassed almost the entire island and even seeped into the clear water, causing exotic colored fish to lift to the surface with film over their eyes and mouths open. The force centralized within the area of the altercation, about twenty or so feet, whisking the sand away to reveal white bedrock.
{Spoiler Alert!} Spell Crafting (Desolate Aura, see sheet) and Ball of Sand [4]: Ziren combined the Spell over the trees and the ball of sand to form a massive attack.
Psi Barrier and Chakra (2): Ziren used the Chakra stored in her arms to make the barrier strong enough to last the impact of Shawdus' attack, that dispersed after the explosion yet left her hands numb.

One thing could be easily determined about the woman that Sirius had the grand opportunity to battle in this first round; She was a radically insane female. If they were not attempting to kill each other for the money and fame that would accompany it, they could probably be the best of friends. It was a shame. Would have been nice to have somebody similar to him.
As the bullets dug into the sand below and resulted in the explosive shard to follow, Sirius noticed that Ziren had put up a defensive just in time, making the attack barely do anything but push her back and leave trails in the affected sand. The statement she made regarding his suggestion to embrace death intrigued him. This could not have been a riddle. Based on her frail frame and overall demeanor, it could not be ruled out of the question that she was in fact a living, thinking, undead. The damn zombie movies gave people the cliché that the undead could not think, frankly not even speak or understand anything. This was an example of why that wasn’t always the case.
Before Sirius could go on a rant within his own mind, he heard a sudden scream of agony from the trees that surrounded the two fighters. This in and of itself kept the male on his toes, as he darted his head towards the trees. Only a moment after that, an explosion of gargantuan proportions came to be, splintered wood and various substances flying everywhere around the isolated peninsula.
He would have loved to dodge whatever attack was coming to him, but it was simply too fast. He had nothing to defend himself with. He could not even hope to dodge such a wide stretching attack. As the explosion grew closer to him, he knew that he was inevitably defeated.
He turned his head towards the woman as multitudes of splintered wood and other debris etched their sharp edges into his pale skin, blood trickling from almost every point within his body. The sand had suddenly become a pool of crimson. He let out a scream. It was not of pain. Not of any real emotion, but disappointment and anger. How could a god such as him, perish to a woman who was frail and looked sickly? How could this happen to him? All of the things he wanted to get out of this tournament…Destroyed.
In the corner of his vision, he noticed a panther cub run from the woods, decaying quickly as liquid came from it’s mouth and eyes. He began to feel the same thing, as the worst pain one could ever feel coursed through his nerves. He saw his skin fly off in chunks, followed by his muscles. He never took his eyes off the woman.
“YOU WRETCH! I WILL HAUNT YOU FOREVERMORE!” His lips curved into a smile, and he even managed to chuckle slightly, “But nonetheless, congratulations…on murdering a god”
That was the last thing he said, as the rest of his body began to decay. Soon, he could not even feel it, as his nerves were gone. He fell to his side, his skin and muscle brown or completely off. His soulless black hues became glassy, as they closed.
By the time the aura and explosion had finished their course, there was nothing left of him but a skeleton with patches of muscle and skin spread around his body, and shards of debris etched into various bones.
She had defeated The Dark Lord.
(;-; you got me. GG)
