BASIC NAME: Landraal "Lan" Ostufeng ALIAS: ~ AGE: A few centuries. If seen without his armor, he'd be in his early forties. RACE: Abomination // Daemonic hybrid GENDER: Male SEXUALITY: ~
PHYSICAL HEIGHT: 2.2m // 7' 2" WEIGHT: 137kg // 302lbs. EYES: Red. Only seen when they glow. HAIR: Inky black. Lanky, down to his shoulders. PHYSIQUE: Athletically built, muscular, with broad shoulders. He leans more towards slim than wide while still being generally big. COMPLEXION: Though not seen because of his armor, Lan has pale white skin. It's smooth too. APPEARANCE: [x]
MENTAL LIKES: ~ DISLIKES: ~ FEARS: ~ GOALS: ~ PERSONALITY: ~
ABILITIES HYBRIDISM: When he was human, Lan had considerable strength and could take hits like a boss, but he was still only human. After consuming the blood of countless demons, he has gained strength beyond a mortal's comprehension. With that comes the durability to withstand considerable punishment and keep going. He also has greatly increased agility, way more than he did as a human but not in the intense proportions of his new strength. Still, a mortal human would be pressed to perceive his speed, a blur at best. A more perceptive being, mortal or not, would be required to see him clearer and act.
BLACK BLOOD: Upon transforming into a daemonic abomination, everything about him changed. His blood turn from a human's reddish blood into pure black. It also took on daemonic qualities, being able to be manipulated by his mind and such. Its acidic nature is one such quality, and it's infectious too. If it gets into someone's bloodstream, it'll work like a horrid poison, killing them from within. Because it is acidic, it'll feel like their very blood is boiling, which is a possible outcome. It eats away at their blood, producing more of its own cursed black blood to kill the victim. Upon mental command, Lan can make the blood become fully solid, to stop a person's blood flow if it is inside them or his own to keep a wound from bleeding too much as well as creating formations out of spilled blood like spikes, a wall or bindings. Because he is an abomination, and his blood is one his major facets for attacking/defending, his body quickly regenerates used/lost blood so he doesn't run out of it too fast.
UMBRAMANCY: Controlling darkness and the shadows around him is one of his, if not the most important, facet of power. His physical superiority and cursed blood makes him a formidable foe but the ability to maim and/or kill his enemies without even moving a muscle makes this his most dangerous ability at his disposal. Wherever there are shadows, he can use them to his advantage. His power allows him to manifest the intangible darkness into something solid, or at the very least semi-tangible, and attack with it. Because it is semi-tangible, it can never be used as a defense mechanism, but can counter an attack to help defend him. For that, he can cloak himself in darkness to hide him from view, becoming effectively invisible.
DARK ARTS: Though not greatly talented when it comes to the Magickal Arts, Lan possesses a fair amount of potential due to the darkness boiling within him. Some of the demons he devoured were in fact Magi types and so after his transformation, their innate power became his. Some of it goes towards maintaining his form, to keep him "alive" and stable; both physically and mentally. The magick Lan dabbles in is aligned with the darkness, evil and corruption. The most used with be Blood Magick, a corrupt and horrid form of magick that utilizes the blood to perform various spells. He can use it to ignite his blood, augmenting his physical capabilities but when active, he cannot use his black blood offensively or defensively. Other ways are using his spilled blood as fuel for wicked spells but it cannot be "ignited". For another category of magick, Lan can manifest the darkness within him and fire it at his enemies. Whether it be orbs, tendrils, blades or anything he can imagine, it'll bludgeon and inflict dark damage.
RUIN: A special power Lan obtained from battling an Old One. After chipping off a piece of its soul and absorbing it, it took root within his darkness and fed off of it. Lan fights it to keep it contained within him. When his defenses slip, thin, transparent black smoke seeps out of his armor. It remains primarily around him, like an aura. Occasionally, green lightning arcs within the cloud. If someone breaks the smoke barrier, the green lightning ignites the air and creates a massive blast of heat and force that explodes outwards through the temporary breach. Once that happens, the lightning needs time to recharge before it can retaliate against another breach. This is stage one.
In stage two, dark green liquid fire oozes out from the slips in his armor. It's highly acidic and radiates immense heat. The smoke from stage one condenses into a midnight black, yet still somewhat transparent, aura around his armored body and weapon(s). It is what protects him from the negative effects of the fiery substance. He can also dip his weapons in it to greatly improve his damage output. With the black aura around his weapons, they wouldn't be damaged by Ruin. Should someone disrupt his auric armor, then he'll be temporarily affected by Ruin, until the aura can return.
There are two other stages to Ruin, but he cannot yet access them. While using Ruin, Lan cannot use any external abilities such as Black Blood and Umbramancy. Most of his Dark Arts are restricted too but he can ignite his blood for improved physical prowess. Though it may seem like a great thing with little to no cons, using Ruin damages his mental stability. If he uses it too long or becomes overly angered and loses his concentration, then he'll succumb to the madness to go berserk. It would be at that point that he forgoes rational thought and relies solely on instinct. An intelligent opponent could outsmart him like this. Lan also doesn't like it and so tries to use it as minimally as he can, unless he can avoid it altogether.
EQUIPMENT PRIMARY: [x] A uniquely designed blade that is the physical manifestation of Lan's corrupt darkness. It weighs quite a bit, more than a human could lift and has a virtually unparalleled sharpness. The blades have the shiny texture and feel of obsidian but is much, much stronger and hardier. It's about six feet in total length, five and half feet for the blade and a foot and half for the hilt. Other than its superb physical qualities, the sword dubbed "Soulslayer" can absorb shadows, change it into energy-like darkness and fire it off in powerful linear beams. It's super chilled, freezes those unlucky enough to get caught in its path. It's so cold that it burns those it doesn't completely freeze. This dark energy can also be charged within the weapon to give it a dark purple aura along the weapon that radiates immense cold to any except the wielder.
SECONDARY: [x] This grim looking axe was wrought in Hellfire with the use of various hellish metals. It was Lan's initial weapon in his personal war against Aziroc and its daemonic legion. He dubbed the daemonic weapon "Liferender" and quite literally used it to rend the life of his victims. With each daemonic essence he absorbed with the weapon, the stronger he became. This played its part in making him an abomination, with the blood-drinking being the other. The whole weapon is five feet in length, with the crescent axe blade being around three feet in approximate length. The back spike is about one foot and quite thick, being the weighted balance for the large axe blade. The power Liferender possesses is it drinks the life energy of its victims through physical contact and rejuvenates its wielder. If it tastes blood, the weapon becomes empowered for a brief period and absorbs more life on hit.
ARMOR: Once the darkness within him morphed, Lan's armor became an actual part of his very being. Though he has skin and whatnot under it, the armor is him and he feels all that touches as if it was directly linked to his nerves, which it might be. The darkness imbued his armor with magickal properties, to ensure his and its survival. For one, it is quite durable and resistant towards physical damage. If a weapon or attack doesn't pierce it, it reverberates off it. Another is his metallic belt, which makes anything heavy he carries be practically weightless. This doesn't count for weapons he wielders but if they are stowed away on his person, then light as a feather. His leggings greatly improve upon his leg strength, mainly so he can jump really high. His gauntlets give him great strength in way of grip. If he gets a hold of something or someone, he won't be letting go. That which he grips most likely will break first. His helmet allows him to see in many different spectrums of light. Finally, his torn cape can transform into membranous bat-like wings so he can attain flight.
ITEMS: Generic and/or miscellaneous items he may carry on his person.
HISTORY Lan is a daemonic hybrid, an abomination. He used to be a human, until he drank the blood of hundreds of demons. Now he's become something else, a cursed being plagued with nightmares. I'll add more to this later.

I am not supposed to comment on charactersheets, but I really like what's going on here, man. When Alastor(my character) wakes up, I'd love to rp with this guy.
