City: Saint Mitrias; City of Light
Ruler: High King Solar Dawn acts as the ruler and king of Saint Mitrias, although he rules over all of Telaris. Mitrias is his seat of power.
General: Matriette Lancaster
Type: Ivory architecture, Governmental center
Description: Saint Mitrias, the seat of power for the one Solar Dawn, and the capital of all of Telaris. The city is slightly more reserved than its brother city of Alvengrad, but is host to a formidable array of tech in the City as well. Things such as levitationally powered elevators, traditional trains, and crystals that can serve as warp gates to other parts of Telaris are just examples of what the city offers.
Saint Mitrias is called the City of Light for the heavy involvement the Temple takes in keeping the city a bastion for good hearted peoples, and its famous ivory and golden architecture. It is also considered the most beautiful city in Telaris, focusing heavily on aesthetically pleasing architecture such as the stylized boat docking port that comes in from the neighboring river, and flows freely through the channelways of the cities infrastructure, and the stone geisers.
Population: 15,000 civilians. The races in Saint Mitrias is varied, serving as the home to any and all races other than those whom are unnatural or undead, as the Temple would have taken obvious issue.
Defense: The capital of the entire country, Saint Mitrias is built to be nigh impregnable. Eight great Crystals(Courtesy of Matriette, each for one of the eight directions are spread in heavily guarded/reinforced towers which erect an competitor deterrence field(C.D.F)of raw, unadulterated abjurative force. This all but leaves the city careless of metaphysical assault. For those whom attempt to bypass this security will find themselves braindead, as the abjurative force would unravel the very energies that held the caster together. However, these crystals do not protect the city from the mundane.
--10,000 Elite Knights- Trained from childhood, experience with fortress defense procedures, squad level tactics, experience with anti-divination and invocation/rune based magics. Moderately armored.
--15,000 Knights - As above but lacking the several extra years of experience afforded by their superiors. Their weapons and runes also are not as bolstered.
--7,000 Telarian Infantry - Trained in more modern means of combat. These men utilize technology and machine weaponry(some magically imbued). With them are also tanks, and various other mobile armored units.
--3 War Class Airships: The Medusa, Infector, and Dreadnaught. Each larger than the other respectively from left to right, all of them still outclass all other airships employed by the Telarian force by more than 2x. They each can hold up to 5,000 men, and 30 smaller-classed airships, each of which can hold 100 men.
--4,000 Sulerian Monks/Priests: The bulk of magical defense and attack force for Saint Mitrias. The clergy of Revellus Sulera are especially talented with Divination, Enchantment, and Evocation magicks, and are taught CQC combat to a masterful level as well.
~Areas Of Interest~
Education:
-- SMUA(Saint Mitrias University of the Arts)- A famous college of higher education just on the far east end of Saint Mitrias. The school offers classes in very few magic disciplines, but instead focuses on more practical, worldly subjects. Of the core popular courses are, but not limited to Metaphysics, Sociology, chemistry(and alchemy, though not widely popular), psych(and all its classes therein). The artistic classes also include, but are not limited to Writing, Painting, Theatre, and Dance. The school is home to a host of teachers renowned worldwide such as Gavant Ileniore, and Rashava Equus.
The Amias Library: An enviable sized library, containing thousands of books, maps, and articles. While not as useful as some more famous libraries in the country, it is rare one would find themselves wanting for much as long as their interest is general in some sense.
