Word of mouth traveled fast in these parts, especially when one knew what dingy corners to look through and what squalid alleyways to listen to. Their arrival here had not gone unnoticed; not by the ever-watchful Telaris and not by the scrutinous eye of Faustus either. Their intent was painted, breathed onto the landscape, and could travel throughout this world without words.
They brought into these lands an interesting prospect. This was more than just fighting, for if he wanted to spill blood he could do so a hundred times over. If he wanted to kill men, then he would kill men; if he wanted to kill women, then he would kill women. There was little that could stop him as he stood now, and even those few things that had the might did not have the vision. Lacked the mind to deal with the magnitude of threat that he presented.
But, you see, this was so much more than just death, so much more than just blood and steel. This was….this was the promise of something. This was a promise to him, that he might finally be able to escape. He thumbed the polished quarter, letting it flip from finger to finger to finger, heads to tails to heads, and his eyes glanced up to the sunlight sky. His back was pressed against a dying tree, in a great field. It had been so very long since he could breathe in the beauty this new world had to offer. This Nu Guardia. He was always so concerned with getting off of it.
The sun had begun to dip below the canopy line of the forest that circled on the banks of the rolling hills, and shadows were casted scenicly across the land.
“Two birds with one stone. A step closer to power. A step closer.... to her."
His skin looked golden, so pale was he that he all but absorbed the hue of the sun as snow is wont to do when struck by amber light at the right angle, and his hand tensed. He flicked the quarter into the air, and it left his grasp with a roar. High into the sky, miles high even, the quarter turned into a glowing bastion of cobalt might.
Around the quarter, vision began to distort; the sky began to gorge itself on an unseen meal, and if left unchecked, it would crack and tumble into this world in shards.
This was his warning; there was only one kind of man that would heed it.

Faustus becomes the new Chosen Champion!
He is rewarded with the "#1 Headband", the title given to a metaphysical item that is believed to have been used by a God himself, as well as the second #1 Headband, this one just a trophy to wave around to the world, and holds no power.
The Headband can open a door that only the Chosen Champion can find, that leads to a great cache of money, his secondary prize, as well as worldwide fame.
Kurushimi becomes the owner of the #2 Headband. It does all of the above except opening up the door, but to a halved degree.
Great tournament guys!
